«Citybouquet» invites you to a unique, inebriating walking tour around Lviv, a city that you probably know very little about. It is an exciting tour through unknown pre-war areas of the city. This tour is accompanied by tastings of Lviv’s legendary beer.

Time frame: 2 days, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

Languages: English, Russian, Ukrainian, German, Polish

Day 1

10.00 – Meet with Lviv’s beer immigration officer. Breakfast at a picturesque restaurant in downtown Lviv (included in the price). What a great start to the day!

We’ll begin the tour around Lviv’s historical center. We’ll move on from the Market Square to the area where the legendary culture of Lviv’s hooligans – batyars – was born. We’ll walk through brawl sites of infamous gangsters and visit the former Execution Hill. We’ll take a look at historic places in the Jewish, Ukrainian, and Armenian quarters of the old city. We’ll also visit the Brewery Museum (beer tasting and snacks).

13.00 – Lunch in one of the best brewery-restaurants in the city – «Kumpel», followed by a sampling of 2 types of unpasteurized beer (2x.3L). We’ll learn a little more about the beer-brewing technique used in «Kumpel». And only with us will you have the opportunity to try some original beer ice cream. Lunch will be accompanied by live music.

14.00 – We’ll leave «Kumpel» and continue on our beer tour.

14.30 – Beer tasting (1x.3L) in the former 16th century Armenian bank. We’ll reveal the history and some extraordinary secrets of this building.

15.30 – We’ll continue our tour with a visit to the Lviv Brewery and Brewery Museum. We’ll take a look around one of the best brewery exhibitions in Ukraine and follow up with two more beer tastings (2х0.3L).

This tour includes lots of interesting facts and anecdotes about the «darker» side of Lviv. During our adventure each participant will receive an original beer passport in which a special beer visa issued by each bar/restaurant will be stamped. You will also receive souvenirs from the breweries, bars, and our tour agency.

Day 2

10.00 – Meet with our city guide, who will then take you on a tour through Lychakiv, a romantic–yet once-upon-a-time unsafe–neighborhood of Lviv. We’ll visit the Lychakiv Cemetery, considered one of the most picturesque necropolises in Europe and the resting place of many famous people. We’ll also visit the graves of Lviv’s two kings of alcohol – Bachevski and Robert Doms. We’ll take a tram ride to the Striletskyi Association Villa, where the first recorded act of cannibalism in Lviv occured. Then we’ll take the climb up to the High Castle for a stunning panoramic view of the city and its outskirts.

14.00 – We’ll visit the restaurant «Stargorod» for a beer tasting of two different types of unpasteurized beer (2x.3L). We can also arrange a lunch here per client’s request (around 70 UAH).

Your designated beer officer (who also doubles as a tour guide) will issue each tour participant beer a passport with a Lviv beer visa. Warning! Only Citybouquet representatives are authorized to issue these one-of-a-kind passports and visas. Beware of knock-offs!
